-
- What you want is Bigelow & Holmes' Lucida Bright family, which includes
- Lucida Bright, a very pleasant text typeface, Lucida Sans, Lucida Sans
- Typewriter (a fixed-width typewriter face), and Lucida Fax (suitable for
- low-resolution rendering). It also includes four Lucida New Math faces,
- which support everything TeX/Latex/AMSTeX have. The result, especially
- if you're writing a CS textbook, including text, programs, and math, is
- most harmonious.
-
- These faces are part of the Microsoft TT Font Pack 1. I use the Type 1
- versions from Y&Y (106 Indian Hill, Carlisle, MA, 01741, (508)
- 371-3286), which are properly encoded for use with both TeX and Windows
- programs. (In re the latter, be warned that Ami Pro's math typesetter
- refuses to handle any math typeface other than Symbol: and people wonder
- why some of us stick with TeX...)
-
- Disclaimer: I have no connection with Y&Y, other than using their
- products.
