- I to am a wordstar user (because I know the commands without having to
- think about them) an wanted a WS compatable editor for unix. I have found
- 2 resonable editors that will do the job.
-
- One is SUE which I have been beta testing and should be released to the
- net soon. It is a good, small editor.
-
- The other is JOE. This editor can be config'ed in the same way Qedit (in
- MS-DOS) can be. You edit a text file. Each user can have a differnt
- setup. It is at version 1.0.8 right now and needs some more work, but is
- very usable right now. I have a 'joerc' (config file) for it that does
- the basic WS commands and a lot of the more advanced ones. The only basic
- commands I haven't been able to do yet (because the hooks aren't in the
- joerc interface :( are ^W and ^Z, scroll the screen up/down one line
- (leaving the curser where it is).
-
- BTW: what do you mean 'prompts you as you do your work'?
