- While working with a collegue who uses an SGI Iris, I came across a mouse-
- aware editor called zip. You could select, cut & paste using the mouse. You
- can move through the file using the scrollbar and file markers appear there
- too. The last really nice feature was a history of files edited, so
- re-editing a file was point-and-click.
-
- Now I use vi, I'm happy with vi, I don't have three hands all with eight
- fingers, so don't suggest Esc-Meta-Control-Alt-Shift. Anyone know of an
- editor like the above zip for X. It doesn't have to be vi-like, I'm not that
- religious, I just want to edit lots of files repeatedly, simply and quickly.
-
- Merry Christmas.
-
- Mike.
