- I just wanted to make everyone aware that an ANSI C compiler is not needed
- to compile sam. I have had fine results compiling it with non-ANSI
- compilers using the wonderful `unproto' preprocessor package by
- Wietse Venema (comp.sources.misc, Volume 27, Issues 85 and 86,
- with an official patch in Volume 28, Issue 69; also fully patched
- by anonymous ftp from ftp.win.tue.nl [131.155.70.100], file
- /pub/unix/unproto4.shar.Z). It's great software and frees us (largely)
- from the need for ANSI compilers. Give it a try.
-
- I'd hate to see anyone put off from trying out sam merely because
- they thought they couldn't compile it.
