- Hello,
-
- I am trying to set up OSPF on our CIsco AGS+ routers running release 9.1
- and would like to seperate our subnets into several areas in order to
- consolidate advertised routes, but have not had any success.
-
- There are four areas with the following IP ranges:
-
-
- 132.250.1.0 to 132.250.63.0 area 1
- 132.250.64.0 to 132.250.127.0 area 2
- 132.250.128.0 to 132.250.191.0 area 3
- 132.250.191.0 to 132.250.255.0 area 4
-
- Each range of subnets are all connected directly to one area border router.
-
- Is it possible to advertise the range of one area to another area
- instead of advertising all the subnets within the area? I have tried
- to use the router command 'area <area-id> range <address> <mask>' but
- I am not really sure how to specify the range arguments. How would
- you specify the range for the areas mentioned above?
-
- Do you know where I can get some good information about OSPF?
-
- Any solutions or answers would be greatly appreciated.
-
-
- Thanks,
- David Burton
