  15. I must preface this by saying that as far as SLIP & BOOTP go, I'm no
  16. expert, but I will relate my experiences as a user of these:

  18. I had a similar experience with FTP SW SLIP a while ago, namely that it
  19. wouldn't work.  Lately I tried MacSLIP from Hyde Park SW, and it worked
  20. fine.  So I have a script for a Mac that will dial the Comserver, log in,
  21. put the CS into SLIP modem.  After that, MacSLIP sends a BOOTP packet and
  22. the CS answers.  Works great.

  24. I don't mean to blame FTP SW for it not working with our CS; for all I know
  25. it could be problem on our end.  Hopefully one of our Comserver folks will
  26. have more to say, but I wanted to make the point that SLIP & BOOTP do work
  27. together.
