- the "MTEZ" software they bundle is actually reasonable. Not great, but
- usable. The stuff that came with the Hayes *won't even run*!!! :-(

- The Hayes Optima 144+FAX144 supports Fax class 1, V.17 14,400, V.29 9600,
- and V.27ter 4800. In talking to someone familiar with these things, I
- learned that "Class 2" is still pretty much "cutting edge" and isn't
- available in most modems yet.
