- Every once in a while it may be necessary to physically reset the modem
- (power cycle). It is nice to be able to do this without having to reboot your
- machine, particuarly if you are running UNIX, OS/2, or some other OS that takes
- a while to boot. Of course if you're on a UNIX machine, you probably have other
- users online, and that only makes it even less convenient to ahve to
- reboot.
