  17. Do you really think this is true?  I am evaluating a Hayes Optima 144+
  18. FAX 144, and it seem to me that it is a better buy than the others in
  19. its class (Telebit T3000, USR V.32bis).  I'm not sure of the price of the
  20. USR, but I am quite sure the price of the T3000, and the T3000 doesn't
  21. even have FAX capability yet.  Also the Optima is one of the few I've
  22. seen that does FAX at 14.4K (although of course this is of little use
  23. if other FAXes don't do the same :-).

  25. I will say, though, that the software bundled with the Hayes
  26. is PITIFUL.  Horrible horrible horrible!
