- Well, I have a USR Sportster 14,440 PC/fax and the thing is generally
- rock solid. I connect to Prodigy at 9600, CompuServe at 9600, Sun 4/UNIX
- machines at 14,400, numerous BBS's at 14,400 and in all cases on the first
- try. I use the supplied XTALK Communicator 2.0 software extensively, and its
- a real joy. I use Procomm+/Windows in Windows 3.1 at 14,400 with no problems.
-
- My only negative complaint is the supplied FAX software, Blast Fax PC, is
- a little off the mark.
-
- Oh yeah, I paid $ 369 at Fry's Electronics. It's installed internal
- to a Gateway 2000, 486DX2 50 at com2. I wanted to use com4, but the
- video card, ATI ultra graphics used the com4 address. It's a big board
- and would not fit in most of the slots because it flopped onto the
- memory chips.
-
- I would recommend the board.
