- I connected to a bbs in Sydney (about 1300 km from here) at
- 14400bps with no error correction apart from Trellis Code
- Modulation every day for several weeks with no noticable line
- noise. It depends on the line conditions (and to some extent, the
- quality of the modems). My modem supports MNP 4 badly, and V.42
- LAPM not at all, so I used no error correction.
