  16.   At any rate, for what it's worth.  I called Telebit and asked them
  17. about this a few months ago and was told that they do plan to offer an
  18. upgrade to V.fast when it becomes a standard.  This was not an official
  19. announcement of support, nor was it a promise of an inexpensive upgrade
  20. path.  All that we can really surmise from this casual conversaton is
  21. that Telebit will support the next major standard.  Which we all should
  22. have assumed amyway.
