- I'm having a bit of a problem with my QuickComm Spirit II (which
- is now the Digicom as they bought QuickComm out). I recently received
- back from the factory with an EPROM upgrade, but I'm experiencing some
- problems connecting at high speeds. Once there is a connections,
- transmissions never fail
- to be quick and clear, but sometimes I have to try several times for
- it to connect initially at 9600 and then move on up to 19200. With
- one system in particular it likes to connect at 7200. This happens very
- often with this system (which happens to have Dual Standards).
-
- I've include my AT*O:

- MODEL:SCOUT PC PLUS
- DTE: 19200 N81
- DCE: IDLE

- S01=000 S05=008 S09=006 S18=000
- S02=043 S06=002 S10=050 S25=000
- S03=013 S07=120 S12=050 S26=000
- OK
- ------
- I've played with the *M, S07, S09, and S10 settings to no avail.
-
- Setting the S09 to 6 and having the modem locked at 19200 seems to
- have decreased the rate at which it connects at 7200, but it still
- happens too often to be satisfactory.
-
- Oh, and ZMODEM transmissions of ZIPed files tend to hover around
- 1600 cps (currently in Qmodem PRO). I could've sworn I saw a cps
- rate around 2200 in Telix a few days ago, but I might've been
- delirious (?)..
-
- The unit is an internal. Any help would be appreciated.
