  11. I am going to be writing an article on getting started with a
  12. high-speed modem.  This is going to be aimed at fairly
  13. non-sophisticated users, and will be a collection of tips.  For
  14. example, one of the things I plan to cover is that high-speed modems
  15. generally take longer to connect than slower modems because it takes
  16. more time for them to negotiate the link with the modem on the other
  17. end.

  19. So, if any of you have any tips or experiences that you would like me
  20. to include, please e-mail them to me.  I'll post a summary of the
  21. responses, or if the publisher is willing, I'll post the entire
  22. article to the net.
