- Hi yall,
-
- I hope this the right group for such questions ...
-
- +------------------
- Are there any utilities around that will let me record and
- play back activity on a serial line being monitored ? The playback
- must be consistent with respect to timing also.
- +------------------
-
- I wish to record one entire interaction of an application that uses
- async lines (running perhaps some protocol sometimes, but always async)
- and play it back over and over again for each demo.
-
- I am looking for a program that will use only one com port on
- the MonitoringPC, tap the Rx line from the PC-being-monitored and
- record all key strokes *with* timing information.
-
- Additionally if it can support another com port and also record
- the outgoing traffic from the PC-being-monitored, that'll be a
- bonus.
-
- Nothing like it, if during play back, it can wait for the char
- sequence that the PC-being-monitored sent out originally to come
- out the PC-being-fooled, and send to it whatever came from the modem
- using what it tapped as a chat-script of sorts.
-
- All tips and pointers sincerely appreciated, even if it can do only
- a part of all the above!
-
- Thanx in advance.
