  14. Lest anyone think all owners of Practical Peripherals 14400 FXSA modems are
  15. unhappy....

  17. I find the Practical Peripherals 14400FXSA modem to be a terrific modem. It is
  18. the primary modem at my host, L'AISON (313-647-2634), and thousands of calls
  19. from a wide variety of other HS modems have been answered and connections
  20. negotiated. The host software (FirstClass) utilizes the full bandwidth of both
  21. channels in the v.32bis connection, allowing simultaneous uploads and
  22. downloads at high speeds.

  24. The LCD readout is a valuable asset for a host system, as it provides a great
  25. deal of information about each connection that may not otherwise be available.

  28. In my situation, the PPI is connected to Plain-Old-Telephone-Service (POTS) on
  29. the telephone end, and to a high-speed serial i/o card at the DCE/DTE end.

  31. The modem has been in service since approximately July 1, 1992. It is covered by a lifetime warranty.
