  28. I'm calling to SFU on a ZyXEL U-1496E+ running a tty rate of 19.2kbps
  29. connected to a Hayes modem running at 14.4K.

  31. While Sun may have problems with their tty code, I've found that from my
  32. Sun3/60 I have few problems, provided I don't tax the CPU too much.  I've
  33. been considering the possibility of trying 38.4 after upping the clockspeed
  34. on the machine from 20MHz to 25, but I doubt that'll give me quite the punch
  35. I'd need.

  37. Oh, and I'm not having any problems with either hardware or software flow
  38. control.

  40. If your really intent on improving upon this performance, you'll either be
  41. buying or writing a replacement streams package.  On a Sun3 I'd know where
  42. to look for sample source, but not for SPARCs.
