- I am unable to send faxes successfully with WinFax Lite and a Digicom
- Scout+ under Windows 3.0 and a Gateway 386sx. When a connection is
- made, a status window indicates that the cover page is being sent,
- then a "100% complete" display appears. A few seconds later, the
- modem shuts down, and the SendLog file shows
-
- No response from remote fax: 50
-
- and
-
- Pages Sent: 0
-
- The person at the receiving end gets only the header of the cover page
- - - no names or phone numbers. Digicom tech support suggested that I
- had an interrupt conflict with COM2 (I have a mouse on COM1, and have
- disabled a second Gateway COM2 port), but I can run other Windows
- application software to connect to my office workstation without any
- trouble.
-
- I've since discovered that I can RECEIVE a FAX under WinFax Lite, and
- I can SEND a FAX under DOSFax Lite, but the modem apparently thinks
- there is no connection when it tries to send inside Windows.
-
- Does anyone have any suggestions?
