- Kermit is generally used as a "bulletproof" protocol that will work over
- just about any connection you can imagine. It is not, however, viewed
- as anything even vaguely resembling a _fast_ protocol.

- Zmodem is fairly reliable, offers a resume feature for interrupted
- downloads, and is supported by a variety of platforms.
