  23. Environment: 
  24. Downtown Boston, Financial District [a block from Fanuiel Hall]
  25. Financial Trading and Information Systems of 300+ Sun workstations,
  26. A Sybase Corporate Site License  account.

  28. I-Kinetics, Inc currently has a long-term contract to design, develop
  29. and maintain this client's large Unix-based enterprise information
  30. system.  We have currently have several projects developing Executive
  31. Information Systems.  These EISs will use Sybase, X-Windows and C, C++
  32. as the development base.
  33.  
  34. Position requires:
  35.  
  36. () Ability to design and develop database applications using Sybase
  37. Transact SQL, and DBLIB.
  38.  
  39. () Ability to design high quality reports using SQR or related report
  40. writers.
  41.  
  42. () Extensive experience in SunOS or other BSD/SYSV UNIX environments.
  43.  
  44. Other skill pluses include:
  45.  
  46. () Ability to develop and implement X-Windows GUIs.
  47.  
  48. () Experience using advanced development tools: Emacs, RCS, Energize,
  49. Purify, GCT, CodeCenter, ObjectCenter, etc.
  50.  
  51. () Experience with ToolTalk, Teknekron Information Bus or Open Server.
  52.  
  53. () Previous experience with financial trading environments and market
  54. data feeds is a moby plus.
  55.  
  56. () Shell, perl, awk, Wingz macro language expertise.
  57.  
  58. () Development of algorithms and advanced analytic applications.
  59.  
  60. Requirements: 
  61. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  62. Demonstrated experience in high-quality software development.  Whether
  63. you have a degree or not, is not important. If you are experienced
  64. (and good) at designing and deploying EISs using Sybase, we want to
  65. hear from you.
