- Why? First of all, when you install Informix products, you do so as root,
- not informix (informix would not allow setting up the permissions needed
- on some of the files, which require root ownership with suid). Second of
- all, as the original poster stated, they are using a package-installation-
- script, which I doubt would be run as informix, more likely root or
- install.
