  20. Why?  First of all, when you install Informix products, you do so as root,
  21. not informix (informix would not allow setting up the permissions needed
  22. on some of the files, which require root ownership with suid).  Second of
  23. all, as the original poster  stated, they are using a package-installation-
  24. script, which I doubt would be run as informix, more likely root or
  25. install.
