- HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
-
- I am having a problem with Paradox and PAL (v 4.0). I have to perform
- some calculation on some CURRENCY fields but Paradox is behaving in weird
- way. I give some examples below. Would appreciate any help on it.
-
- There is an amount whose 5% comes to be $146.505. I use Round(146.505 ,2) on
- it and get $146.50. But I want it to round UP to $146.51 as all the people
- sending in the payments round UP and my app. and there payment forms are always
- off by 1 cent. How to fix it.
-
- Also Paradox shows currency figures to two decimals only but it maintains
- actual number in memory. That causes problems for me. For example take the
- above number, i.e. $146.505. Paradox will show it as $146.51 in tables and
- you can even use Alt-F10 (PAL menu) ~V~alue function and it will tell you
- that it is $146.51...*BUT* if you actually use the value of this field in
- calculations in PAL, this value used in calcs would be 146.505!!! This is
- again causing problems for me as my books and customers books dont match. We
- are always off by some cents. How to fix it?
-
- I would appreciate your help.
