- I was curious to know the differences between the 2 terms commonly used in the
- fields of databases and software engineering.

- Data Abstraction & information hiding

- Data abstraction, I feel is the hiding of the low level implentation of the
- data structure from the operations that are performed on it.

- I am not really sure as to what information hiding is, seems to be similar.

- Could someone let me know if there are dufferences between these two terms
- and if so what are the pro's and cons of using one for the other in the
- world of databeses and s/w eng.
