- I have read a few results about the PowerPC 601 processor, the one developed
- by Motorola and IBM. The SPECmarks are based on the SPECmark '89 benchmarks.
- I would like to know, is there any way to convert SPECmarks to MIPS or other
- unit. I would like to know how fast the processor is when compared to others.
- Here are the results:
-
- 50 MHz PowerPC 601 Processor Integer Performance= 40
- Floating-Point Performance= 60
- 66 MHz PowerPC 601 Processor Integer Perf.= 50
- Floating P.= 80
-
- The claim that those figures are equivalent to the 66 MHz Pentium came
- forward. Can anyone expand on that and ellaborate on this matter?
-
- Best Regards,
- Mark K.
