  11. I have read a few results about the PowerPC 601 processor, the one developed
  12. by Motorola and IBM. The SPECmarks are based on the SPECmark '89 benchmarks.
  13. I would like to know, is there any way to convert SPECmarks to MIPS or other
  14. unit. I would like to know how fast the processor is when compared to others.
  15. Here are the results:

  17. 50 MHz PowerPC 601 Processor  Integer Performance= 40
  18.                               Floating-Point Performance= 60
  19. 66 MHz PowerPC 601 Processor  Integer Perf.= 50
  20.                               Floating P.= 80

  22. The claim that those figures are equivalent to the 66 MHz Pentium came
  23. forward. Can anyone expand on that and ellaborate on this matter?
