  25. I had this one. In my USENET file I had the statement:

  27. DEFAULT /dir=w:\news
  28.  
  29. This statement had worked fine in plain vanilla Waffle 1.65. Using HellDiver
  30. I could not see any news. So, when all else fails, RTFM (Waffle's, that is).
  31. Although Tom Dell does not seem to explicitly state that the operand of the 
  32. /dir statement *must* be enclosed in double-quotes, the example provided 
  33. shows the operand in double quotes. After changing the statement to:

  35. DEFAULT /dir="w:\news"
  36.  
  37. Note the enclosing double-quotes; HellDiver found the newsgroups OK.
  38. Maybe you have the same problem I encountered.

  40. Tom, are you watching? Your documentation is excellent. You do have 
  41. an audience that you may not have anticipated: Waffle Add-On software 
  42. developers. For those of us who are making Waffle Add-Ons, could you 
  43. provide BNF specification for all your command languages: STATIC, 
  44. DIRS, NEWSGROUP files, etc...? This would remove all ambiguity when 
  45. we have to design interpreters for your commands.
