- I want to explore this area of waffle but am a little fuzzy on
- the set-up.
-
- I have an account set-up for user: nuucp
-
- This account does the normal exit #40. I have the following
- permits file:
-
- default /system=known
- /account=any
- /commands=rnews,rmail
- /download="F:/pub"
- /upload="F:/pub/uploads"
- /time=any
-
- anonymous /system=any
- /account=anonymous
- /commands=""
- /download="F:/pub"
- /upload="F:/pub/uploads"
- /time=any
- /speed=9600
-
-
- Will this set-up let any unknown system in? I'm confused about
- this line from the \uucp\permits file:
-
- ; For anonymous UUCP login. Provide a "uucp" account calling uucico with
- ; -panonymous -uanonymous to access this permit if you want anon uucp.
-
- How is this portion implemented?
-
- Having called remote.halcyon a few times, this aspect of uucp is
- appealing. Especially when able to use Telebit's uucp spoofing
- high-speed. Long distance costs are minimized while delays are
- reduced to nearly zero.
-
- Enquiring (and confused) minds wanna know...
