  25. Then you tell your feed site that their software is broken (there is
  26. another word that comes to mind starting with F, but let's keep this
  27. polite in the first instance :-).  I don't mind if a leaf site does
  28. not have a smarthost or equivalent, but when a site is feeding others
  29. it's a different ball game.

  31. A site mynode which is prepared to take feeds should be able to resolve:
  32.     user (mynode!user, user@mynode.dom.ain)
  33.     neighbor!user
  34.     neighbor!...!user
  35.     user@neighbor.dom.ain
  36. and should pass anything it can't handle to another site which can
  37. either handle it or pass the buck again.  If not their users and
  38. sites who they feed should complain at them until it is fixed or
  39. mynode realises it should not be a feed.
