  15. My point is that Waffle is using the *default* text method to access the
  16. DOS files.  If Waffle used binary mode, it wouldn't stop reading at the
  17. ^Z.  Of course it's more of a pain to access in bindry mode, you have to
  18. manually scan for new-lines.

  25. Well... it isn't broken.  It works.  It doesn't work very well, or have many
  26. nice features.  But it isn't boken.

  32. No.  I'm still in the Waffle domain.  The original complaint was that ^Z
  33. chopped off a news message.  We got the answer: "It's DOS's fault, it
  34. treats ^Z as EOF".  My answer is: "It's Waffle's fault for trusting DOS's
  35. default access mode".  If it this was an important issue, it could be easily
  36. fixed.  The question is: "Is it worth the effort to fix Waffle?"  I don't
  37. think that ^Z in news messages is a major problem.
