  11. I've been using LISTSERV@VM1.NODAK.EDU to get files from Simtel recently
  12. (very quickly, too!) and I noticed that every file which comes uuencoded has
  13. extra bytes (compared to the total number of bytes in the official Simtel
  14. file list) after it is uudecoded. Does anyone know why this is so? I used to
  15. use DECWRL.DEC.COM, and never noticed this (but then I was never looking for
  16. it there...it might have happened there as well). It's no big deal to strip
  17. out the extra bytes with the "RV" program and the /x switch.
