I don't really want to extend this thread either, but I think that your response
to Timo is unjustified.  You may be right that the reminders posted will
probably not have an effect.  I recall in another thread you asked a question
that had been clearly answered in the Digests and the FAQ.  Yet *you* still
received polite responses.
Over the time that I've been subscribing to msdos-ann and now to
this newsgroup I have been very impressed how Timo has always been forgiving
and polite to the uninformed.
Perhaps you should try to improve on your politeness, as Timo has
pointed out it is not hard to avoid these messages totally.  Considering
the context of your message I think your rudeness is appalling.

Timo, thanks for the year-around gift of great archives.  You do a job that
is endless, I hope you realize that it is greatly appreciated.
