- Timo, why do you not see that your postings make the problem worse not
- better? To _one_ off-charter post you have now posted _two_ responses
- (that I have seen so far). If you had not responded, or if you had
- responded in email, we would not have this thread at all.
-
- These incessant repetitions are exactly like a preacher in church berating
- the congregation because attendance is so low. The people who need to
- hear the message don't hear it because they're not there; the people who
- do hear the message don't need to.
-
- Experience shows, in every newsgroup, that no amount of posted
- reminders will stop off-charter articles from being posted. Even a
- moment's thought shows the reason. Off-charter articles come from
- people who post without first reading the charter or anything else: they
- just subscribe and post. Nothing, repeat nothing, that you post will
- solve the problem, because the people who cause the problem don't read
- the group before they post.
-
- You are preaching to the converted, Timo, and you're annoying the heck
- out of us. But the sinners either left the church long ago or haven't
- walked in yet.
-
- I voted for the moderated group largely because I thought if you got
- that you'd be happy with a pure newsgroup and stop complaining about
- off-charter posts. Please, give it a rest.
