- SuperKermit is also known as SlidingWindows Kermit. It has been around
- for a long time, and in fact was the preferred protocol on The
- Source (a now defunct information service). The DOS version has been
- around for some time, but host computer versions have been lagging.
- Columbia just released the 'production' version of C-Kermit (UNIX)
- with sliding windows. All kermit programs are based on
- watsun.cc.columbia.edu; the source for the new C-Kermit is in
- a file called cku188.tar.Z (I believe), but they also have binaries
- for popular machines (e.g. Sun-4, RS/6000, etc.). Binaries are
- named 'wermit.xxxx', I think, with xxxx being the machine type.
- The latest PC version is there; should be called msvibm.zip.
