- CALL FOR PAPERS --- ALT'93
- ------------------------------------------------
- Fourth Workshop on Algorithmic Learning Theory
- ------------------------------------------------
- Tokyo, November 8-10, 1993
-
- The fourth workshop on Algorithmic Learning Theory will be
- held in Tokyo, November 8-10, 1993. The workshop ALT'93 is
- the fourth meeting, in a series of ALT conferences which have
- been starting with ALT'90, organized and sponsered by the
- Japanese Society for Artificial Intelligence(JSAI). Resistration
- at ALT'93 is open, within the limits of the space available
- (about 120 people). We expect all papers presenting original
- contributions in any area of algorithmic learning theory.
-
- POSSIBLE TOPICS include (but not limited to) :
- * Learning by Inductive Inference and/or Analogy
- * Learning Algorithms and their Computational Complexity
- * Learning Mechanisms in Neural Networks and Pattern Recognition
- * Learning Paradigms (e.g., PAC-learning, Query/MAT learning, EBL)
- * Learning and Decision Theory, Bayesian Inference,
- MDL Estimation, Cryptography
- * Applications to Database, Gene Analysis, Data Compression,
- Data Security, etc.
-
- The program will contain two or three invited talks from the
- lively, interdisciplinary areas in Machine Learning, Bio/Computer
- Science. Authors should submit six copies of an extended abstract
- consisting of :
- 1. A cover page with title, authors' names, postal and e-mail
- address, and about 200 word summary
- 2. A body not longer than 10 pages of size A4 or 7 times 10.5
- intches in twelve-point font.
-
- Important Dates for authors are:
- PAPERS DUE April 30, 1993
- Notification to authors June 15, 1993
- Camera-ready copies due July 18, 1993
-
- Submitted manuscripts should be written in English, and oral
- presentation is to be given in English. Papers that have
- appeared in journals or other conferences, or that are being
- submitted to journals or other conferences, are not appropriate
- for submission to ALT.
- Proceedings will be published as a volume in a series of
- Lecture Notes in Artificial Intelligence from Springer-Verlag.
