  14. I don't believe the recent problems have been due to any equipment
  15. other than clout itself (or the ethernet segment clout is connected
  16. to).  I access clout by using SLIP to my workplace, then
  17. UUCP-over-TCP.  I have had UUCP sessions time out and intermittent
  18. ping failures.  I've also telnetted to clout and gotten a connection
  19. but no login prompt.  The problem is not on the modem pool or the
  20. gandalf, I'm sure.
