  17. There's several systems on the internet that offer free usenet accounts
  18. (nyx, to name one), but I don't think that is what you mean. Both gagme
  19. and ddsw1 are in Chicago proper, and gagme only costs 50 bucks per year.
  20. If you're on a budget and don't mind waiting a few days for messages to
  21. arrive (or, if you don't like your company's weird attitute towards news
  22. access), then a public access system is a great bargain. PV
