  19. I've had a number of people convince me that can.domain can serve
  20. a useful purpose in bringing current .CA domain committee policies
  21. to the eyes of the readership, and to afford that readership with
  22. an easy mechanism for making their opinions directly available to
  23. all within the committee who care to look.  If my recent email is
  24. any indication, we can look forward to some lively and very important
  25. discussions.  Input from the grass roots, including the UUCP part of
  26. Canadian networking, can and should be quite useful in forming future
  27. directions for the utilization of the .CA namespace.

  29. I can add a couple of interesting recent developments.

  31. I've been asked by the head of the .CA domain committee to establish
  32. and operate a bi-directionally gated mailing list for the benefit of
  33. those without access to USENET News in some form.  I'll build it once
  34. can.domain actually exists and post the details therein.
