  22. 1. If we are feeding them for free where is the incentive for them to feed themselves?
  23.    Why would a local start raising food?  Profit?  Kind of hard to undercut the price
  24.    of free.
  25. 2. If we are supporting them do we not have the right and indeed the responsibility of
  26.    politically controlling them to ensure the aid is not wasted?
  27. 3. If we have a responsibility to feed the starving in the name of humanity do we not
  28.    also have a responsibility to take care of them totally (free medical care, welfare
  29.    money, job trainging, etc)?
  30. 4. If the starvation is a result of overpopulation and we really want to solve the
  31.    problem do we not have a responsibility of sterilizing a good portion of the subject
  32.    population to ensure a cure to the situation?

  34. Having said all that, I do support food aid for the poor and starving; here and overseas
  35. - BUT NOT AS A SOLUTION TO THE CAUSATIVE PROBLEM.  By all means feed the Somalian people
  36. - BUT SHOOT THE BLOOD-THIRSTY BASTARDS THAT STARTED THE CIVIL WAR.  Feed the Bosnians -
  37. BUT NUKE BELGRADE UNTIL IT GLOWS AND CALL IT A WORLD MONUMENT TO INSANITY!

  39. Let us either find solutions or leave things alone.  That sounds cruel but consider what
  40. UN peace-keeping in Cyprus accomplished over the last 20-odd years - no settlement of the
  41. issue and no incentive to find one.  Now that we're finally pulling out the Turks and
  42. Greeks can either settle things by themselves or go back to killing each other off.
