- This happened to me last year, and as many others have pointed out you
- don't have much chance of getting out of the fine.

- If you think about how many registrations the DMV has to send out each
- year (something like 13 million? over 1 million/month), it kind of makes
- sense that some percentage of them would get lost in the mail.
