  12. This is not directly related to WP, but I thought having working with
  13. Windows some of you might have encountered the following problem:
  14. When I try to run a Windows application using Windows 3.1 in standard mode
  15. (I don't know if it has anything to do with the mode), I sometimes get
  16. application error messages. For example, when I try to enter the file
  17. manager, I get, more often than not, the message:

  29. Another example is when I run "After Dark" (a screen saver). It gives the
  30. same message, this time for module COMM.DRV at 0002:03EB. However, in this
  31. case it waits 10-15 seconds after running the program before it halts.
  32. Most of the time I just click on the "close" box and continue working
  33. (giving up the program I wanted to run); sometimes it just locks the whole
  34. system.
