  18. I must have had Charlton Heston on my mind...and not else, assuming it's
  19. worthy of the term 'mind' these days.               ^much
  20. Tomorrow is the big conference with the drs. as to whether to take my
  21. friend's father off life-support, and I'm on my way over there to, to,
  22. I don't know, sit pre-shiva or something...  He's held on for 2 weeks now,
  23. and if both cop's guns hadn't each jammed after the first round we wouldn't
  24. be facing this...
  25. I'm sorry, guys, but this has really busted my cool.  Anybody ever hear of
  26. a retired surgeon without medical insurance?  You have now.  And my roof is
  27. leaking.  It just keeps getting better and better...  And I had such high
  28. hopes for 1993, too.  Oh, well, it's early yet, right?
