- This about the Women's Review of Books. The story is that they reviewed
- the book of a friend of mine with several other up-and-coming black women
- authors. (She's a poet.) But she isn't black, and no one ever checked w/
- her to make sure. The reviewer felt that Jeanne had somehow been dishonest.
