- I meant I couldn't grap the concept of slang developing through written
- language. Seems almost a contradiction in terms (unless you count
- modern net stuff but I don't call that slang myself). I'm quite willing
- to believe however that slang may fall out of fashion and degenerate
- to being used only facetiously or humourously.
