  15. The following is written on an aged yellow index card in my recipe box:

  18. Parboil, remove insides (save shell)
  19. Saute insides in butter w/sugar to taste
  20. Replace in shell & bake 40 mins at 400.

  22. I think I wrote that down after eating baked kushaw (sp?) at a friend's
  23. house in the early '70s.  He was from S. Louisiana.  I have a vague memory
  24. that we didn't know how to spell it and made up the "kushaw" spelling.  I
  25. have no memory of where he found the kushaw.  The eating of it occurred here
  26. in Starkville.
