-
- I have the article (in the Christmas issue vol 325, number 7791, 26 Dec 92).
- The title is The Good Networking Guide, and the 'networks' surveyed are
- Old Etonians, the Cambridge University Conservative Association, Skull
- and Bones (Yale U.), the Inspection General de Finance, the Doon School,
- the Law School of Tokyo University, Rhodes Scholars, the Mont Pelerin Society,
- the Committee to Defend the Workers (Poland), the Communist Party (Russia),
- the Muslim Brotherhood, Opus Dei, the Freemasons, the Trilateral Commission,
- USENET and Internet, and the Order of Illuminati (aka True Rulers of the
- World).
-
- Each 'network' is evaluated on Power, Secrecy, Organisation, Strength of
- Beliefs, Peculiarity of Rituals, and Exclusivity. USENET and Internet get
- a score of 2 0 1 2 5 1 (out of 5), while Illuminati gets 5 5 5 5 5 5.
-
- (Keep in mind that the Christmas Economist is usually pretty light on
- the issues and heavy on the humour.)
