  14. Remember how pleased some of us were a week or so ago about receiving the
  15. letters from Publishers Clearing House saying how close we were to winning
  16. the BIG money? While I *really* didn't believe it was as much of a sure
  17. thing as the letter made it sound, particularly after I heard that several
  18. of us had received them, still there was that little tingle of a "What if...?"
  19. Tonight at a party a friend was telling me that she received *the* letter
  20. last week...and then, yesterday, she received the exact same letter, all
  21. about how the addressee had followed all the necessary steps to be
  22. a winner, etc., etc., and was now in line for the big prizes...and THIS
  23. letter was addressed to her first husband, who died in February, 1985.
  24. Certainly shook my faith...I'm going out tomorrow and buy lottery
  25. tickets...no more magazines for me.
