-
- What he really wants is for me to have another party so that he can have
- things like sausages wrapped in dough instead of snausages from a box.
- He also wants Judith to come back and visit. The last night she was here
- (or rather there since I'm here, not there, right now -- or rather the here
- that I am right now is not the here of the time I'm talking about) -- this
- sentence is getting too long. The last night Judith was in Starkville,
- Bernard spent the first half of the night in bed with her instead of with
- me, thereby hurting my feelings. He told me later that he did it to make
- sure she knew that she was a welcome guest -- that he didn't mean to hurt
- my feelings. And he did, after all, come join me around midnight.
