- Bien sur! They're both racetracks. New Orleans Fairgrounds: 1751 Gentilly
- Blvd. It's about ten minutes from downtown. Good food as well as good racing.
- The New Evangeline Downs: Interstate 49, north of Lafayette. Racing from
- early April through Labor Day. Good cajun food. (Btw, if asking directions
- to Lafayette, Louisiana, be sure to pronounce the first syllable as "laugh."
- And if looking for Lafayette County, Mississippi, home of Gerald Walton, be
- sure to stress the second syllable, which rhymes with "hay.")
