  17. Bien sur!  They're both racetracks.  New Orleans Fairgrounds:  1751 Gentilly
  18. Blvd.  It's about ten minutes from downtown.  Good food as well as good racing.
  19. The New Evangeline Downs:  Interstate 49, north of Lafayette.  Racing from
  20. early April through Labor Day.  Good cajun food.  (Btw, if asking directions
  21. to Lafayette, Louisiana, be sure to pronounce the first syllable as "laugh."
  22. And if looking for Lafayette County, Mississippi, home of Gerald Walton, be
  23. sure to stress the second syllable, which rhymes with "hay.")
