- I don't mean this in any negative, picky, or disrespectful way
- what so ever. It is simply a matter of curiosity. I see it in Victoria
- quite frequently, and I saw it in epidemic proportions when I
- taught in Penn. Why is it that people often use the plural spelling
- "women" when they intend the singular "woman"? Any ideas??
-
- P.S.: I asked the same question on WORDS-L about several years
- back. I don't remember the exact replies I got, but I do remember
- not fidning them very cogent.
