  28.    interesting....i kinda like them....but am not crazy about them....but
  29. today a package came from andy....my programmer son in chicago....and we
  30. opened it. .....there are two pacakges that can only be cd's.....and a hat
  31. that i am wearing....(it wasn't wrapped....it is a truly wonderful straw
  32. porkpie....)
  33.    but there was also another package that was bursting open, and was
  34. obviously a book...and it was the NEW Rolling Stone Album Guide...which I did
  35. not have....and 'coincidentally' as i was thumbing thru it i noticed the
  36. piece on the BoDeans...and it says....two stars on each of their albums....
  37. and it says.....  "a real flair for injecting a touch of soul into the
  38. most mundane harmony arrangements.  As songwriters, however, the two are
  39. if not quite hacks then certainly not very far removed, specializing in the
  40. type of roots-rock twaddle beloved by those who like having new albums
  41. to buy but desperately hate new music."
