- Is that the "No atheists in foxholes" truism?
- Reminds me of the morning Allan took me to the hospital
- to have our first baby. The nurse kept asking me all these
- questions, when all I wanted was to lie down and let
- somebody else be in charge and maybe take a trank. When
- she asked my religion, I replied, as I always do, "None."
-
- Several days later Allan told me he was *very* surprised
- that I had not opted for religion, since I was definitely
- "under fire".
